Section 1

Who We Are

Belman Ventures, LLC ("Belman," "we," "our," "us") is a Texas limited liability company. This Privacy Notice applies to information we collect through our services. It does not apply to third-party websites, applications, or services we do not control, even if linked from our site.

Section 2

Information We Collect

Information you provide directly

  • Account registration: name, email address, and password when you create an account on belman.ai. If you choose to sign in with Google or Apple, we receive identity information from the respective provider in place of a password (see “Google Sign-In data” and “Apple Sign-In data” below).
  • Expert profiles: professional background, credentials, areas of expertise, work history, and rates if you register as a domain expert.
  • Business profiles: company name, industry, billing address, and contact information if you register as a business client.
  • Inquiries and contact forms: name, email, company, and message content submitted through any contact or inquiry form on our site.
  • Communications: messages exchanged through the Expert Network platform between parties to an engagement.

Information collected automatically

  • Server log data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring page, pages visited, and timestamps.
  • Device information: device type and operating system where relevant to service delivery.
  • Cookies: session cookies (required for platform function) and preference cookies (to remember your settings). We do not use behavioral advertising cookies or sell data to advertisers.

Google Sign-In data

If you choose to sign in or sign up using “Continue with Google,” we request the following Google OAuth scopes and receive the following information from your Google account:

  • openid scope (Google account identifier, sub): a stable unique identifier that lets us recognize your Google account on future sign-ins. Used solely for authentication.
  • email scope (Google email address and email verification status): used to identify your account, send transactional emails (sign-in confirmations, match notifications, identity-reveal notifications), and enforce our business-email policy for Business and AI Lab accounts.
  • profile scope (given name, family name, profile picture URL): used to pre-fill your name during sign-up and to display your name to Belman administrators who mediate matches.

We do not request, access, or store any other Google user data. We do not request Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Google Contacts, Google Photos, Google Workspace Admin, or any other Google API scope.

Google API Services User Data Policy: Limited Use. Belman’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically: we only use Google user data to provide and improve the user-facing authentication and account-creation features; we do not transfer Google user data to third parties except as necessary to provide or improve user-facing features, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets with notice to users; we do not use Google user data for serving advertisements, including retargeting, personalized, or interest-based advertising; we do not allow humans to read Google user data unless we have your affirmative agreement, it is necessary for security purposes (such as investigating abuse), to comply with applicable law, or the data is aggregated and used for internal operations in accordance with applicable privacy laws; and we do not use Google user data, including any data obtained through Google Workspace APIs, to develop, improve, or train generalized or non-personalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models.

Apple Sign-In data

If you choose to sign in or sign up using “Sign in with Apple,” we receive the following information from Apple:

  • Apple user identifier: a stable unique identifier tied to your Apple ID and our app. Used solely for authentication to recognize your account on future sign-ins.
  • Email address: your real Apple ID email address, or an Apple-generated relay address if you choose to hide your email. Used to identify your account and send transactional emails. If you use a relay address, Apple forwards our messages to your real inbox.
  • Name (given name, family name): provided by Apple on the first sign-in only; Apple does not resend name data on subsequent authentications. Used to pre-fill your name during sign-up.

We do not receive a profile picture, phone number, or any other Apple account data.

Payment information

Billing and payment card information is collected and processed by our third-party payment processor. We do not store full payment card numbers. We retain transaction records (amounts, dates, parties) for accounting and tax purposes.

Section 3

How We Use Information

We use information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your account and profile.
  • Match businesses with appropriate domain experts for AI deployment engagements.
  • Process payments, issue invoices, and maintain financial records.
  • Communicate with you about your account, engagements, and platform updates.
  • Respond to inquiries and provide customer support.
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, security incidents, and violations of our Terms of Service.
  • Improve and develop our platform and services.
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your information to serve behavioral advertising on behalf of third parties.

Section 4

How We Share Information

We share information in the following circumstances:

Service providers (sub-processors)

We share information with vendors who help us operate the platform. These providers process information on our behalf under data-processing agreements and may not use it for their own purposes. Our current sub-processors include:

  • Supabase:authentication, database hosting, and file storage.
  • Resend:transactional email delivery.
  • Vercel:web application hosting.
  • Cloudflare:DNS and bot protection.
  • Google LLC:identity authentication when you choose Sign in with Google.
  • Apple Inc.:identity authentication when you choose Sign in with Apple.
  • Persona:identity verification (KYC), when applicable to your account.
  • Middesk:business verification (KYB), when applicable to your account.
  • Dropbox Sign:electronic non-disclosure agreement execution, when applicable.

Engagement delivery

To deliver an engagement, we share relevant project and contact information between matched businesses and domain experts. Sharing is limited to what the engagement requires.

Legal requirements

We may disclose information when required by law, court order, or valid legal process, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Belman, our users, or the public.

Business transfers

In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of our business, information may be transferred to the relevant counterparty, subject to standard confidentiality protections.

With your consent

We share information for other purposes only with your explicit consent.

Section 5

Expert Network Data

Expert profiles (including name, professional background, credentials, and areas of expertise) are visible to business users on the Expert Network platform to evaluate fit for an engagement.

Business project descriptions (including industry context, problem scope, and engagement requirements) are visible to domain experts under consideration for that engagement.

Communications between parties conducted through the platform are stored for the duration of the engagement and for a reasonable period thereafter to support dispute resolution, compliance, and record-keeping obligations.

Section 6

Nexus Deployments

Nexus, our AI evaluation and deployment infrastructure software and hardware, is designed so that customer operational data (process data, equipment data, rule libraries, and audit records) is processed on the customer's own infrastructure. Belman does not retain copies of that operational data.

Any usage telemetry or diagnostic data collected in connection with a Nexus deployment is governed by the applicable enterprise agreement between Belman and the customer, which takes precedence over this Privacy Notice for that data.

Section 7

Data Retention

We retain information while your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter, or as required by law. General retention periods:

  • Account and profile data: retained for the life of the account plus three years after closure.
  • Transaction and financial records: seven years from the date of the transaction, consistent with Texas and U.S. tax record requirements.
  • Platform communications: three years from the close of the relevant engagement.
  • Server log data: up to 90 days, unless retained longer for security investigation purposes.

Authentication identifiers received from Google or Apple (including the Google account sub and Apple user identifier) are treated as account data and retained on the same schedule as account and profile data above.

When retention is no longer required, we delete or anonymize information as part of our normal data management.

Section 8

Security

We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These include:

  • Encryption of data in transit using TLS 1.3 and at rest using AES-256.
  • Access controls limiting information access to personnel with a legitimate business need.
  • Authentication requirements for platform accounts.
  • Incident response procedures to detect and respond to security events.

No security measure is 100% effective. We cannot guarantee that information you transmit to us will never be accessed without authorization. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.

Section 9

Your Choices

Account information

You may access, correct, or update your account and profile information at any time by logging into your account on belman.ai. To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact us.

Marketing communications

If you receive marketing or promotional emails from us, you may opt out by using the unsubscribe link in any such message. You will continue to receive transactional communications related to your account and active engagements.

Cookies

Most browsers allow you to control cookies through browser settings. Disabling session cookies may prevent certain platform functions from operating correctly.

Google Sign-In access

If you signed in with Google, you can revoke Belman’s access to your Google account at any time at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions. Revoking access prevents further sign-in with Google but does not delete data already collected; to delete that data, contact us.

Apple Sign-In access

If you signed in with Apple, you can stop sharing your Apple ID with Belman at any time in your Apple ID settings under Password & Security → Apps Using Apple ID. Stopping access prevents further sign-in with Apple but does not delete data already collected; to delete that data, contact us.

California residents

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) grants you the right to know what personal information we collect, to request its deletion, and to opt out of its sale. We do not sell personal information. To submit a request, contact us.

Section 10

Third-Party Links

Our website and platform may contain links to third-party websites and services that we do not operate. This Privacy Notice does not apply to those sites. We are not responsible for how those sites handle your data.

Section 11

Children

Our services are directed to businesses and professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 18. If we learn that we have collected information from a minor, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a minor has submitted information to us, contact us.

Section 12

Changes to This Notice

We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify registered users by email or by posting a prominent notice on our platform prior to the changes taking effect. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Notice.

Section 13
