BelmanAI builds AI evaluation and deployment infrastructure for critical operations. Our software validates whether AI systems perform as specified under real operating conditions, and produces the certified record that auditors, regulators, and operators require.

The role

You will run structured customer discovery and competitive research that the founding team uses to make product, sales, and partnership decisions. You will conduct interviews, synthesize findings, and produce deliverables with a direct line to strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Design and conduct discovery interviews with operators, safety leads, and domain experts in target verticals.
• Build and maintain competitive landscape maps across AI deployment, governance, and assurance vendors.
• Support Expert Network talent outreach: identify, qualify, and engage domain expert candidates.
• Produce market sizing analyses for target customer segments.
• Synthesize research into briefs for the founding team.

Required qualifications

• Enrolled in a BS or MBA program in Business, Economics, Public Policy, or a related field.
• Written and verbal communication at publication quality. You will run calls with operators and write briefs the CEO reads directly.
• Structured research skills: design a research question, gather signal, synthesize findings without hand-holding.

Preferred qualifications

• Prior internship in management consulting, venture capital, or B2B sales.
• Familiarity with AI or enterprise software markets.
• Experience designing or analyzing customer discovery interviews.
• Exposure to regulated industries (energy, manufacturing, financial services, life sciences, government).
